Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of lucbequette.com (the "Site"), which is run by Luc Bequette ("I", "me", or "we"). The Site includes my photography portfolio, my journal, and a shop for digital photo presets sold as @lucbequette Presets. By using the Site or buying from the shop, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Ownership of content

Unless stated otherwise, all photographs, videos, journal posts, and other written content, graphics, and design on the Site are owned by Luc Bequette and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.

You may view the Site and share links to its pages. Without my prior written permission, you may not:

– copy, download, reproduce, or republish my photos, videos, or written content;
– use my work for commercial purposes, advertising, or promotion;
– edit, crop, or remove watermarks or credits from my work, or present it as your own; or
– use my content to train or build machine-learning or AI models.

@lucbequette Presets license

When you buy @lucbequette Presets, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the presets to edit your own photos and videos. You may use those edited images for both personal and commercial work, such as your own social media posts or client projects.

You may not:

– resell, share, sublicense, give away, or otherwise distribute the presets or their files, whether as-is or modified;
– include the presets in another product, bundle, or preset pack; or
– claim the presets as your own creation.

The presets and all rights in them remain the property of Luc Bequette. The license ends automatically if you break these terms.

Purchases, pricing, and payment

Prices are shown at checkout and may change at any time without notice. At checkout you provide an email address, used to create your order, send your download links (and Stripe's receipt), and let you request a re-send. Payment details are entered directly into Stripe's secure form. I never see or store your card number. Stripe tells me the payment result, amount, and the email you gave. Stripe may send you a receipt to the email you provide, and your payment is also subject to Stripe's terms. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example when a product is listed at the wrong price or when we suspect fraud. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund you.

Digital delivery and refunds

@lucbequette Presets are digital products that are delivered electronically after purchase. We use Resend to send your download links from shop@lucbequette.com. After purchase you get links containing a signed, expiring code tied to your order. Files are stored privately and served through a short-lived link. Email download links expire after 24 hours. Links on the purchase confirmation page expire after 1 hour. The file link itself lasts 5 minutes. You can request new links for 30 days after purchase, up to 5 times. Because a digital file cannot be returned, all sales are generally final. If you have a problem downloading or installing your purchase, please contact me and I will do my best to help. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live.

Results may vary

Presets are a starting point for editing. How they look depends on your camera, your lighting, your settings, and your own adjustments. Example images on the Site show possible results, not guaranteed ones.

Acceptable use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

– break any law or infringe anyone else's rights;
– send spam, harmful code, or abusive messages through the contact form or any other feature;
– try to get unauthorized access to the Site or interfere with how it works; or
– scrape or harvest content or data from the Site without permission.

The Virgin Atlantic reward flight finder at flights.lucbequette.com is a separate project run by Luc Bequette. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Virgin Atlantic. All airline names and trademarks belong to their owners. That service may have its own terms and notices, and they apply when you use it. Flight availability and pricing information is provided as-is and may not be accurate or current, so always confirm details directly with the airline before you book.

Links and third-party services

The Site may link to, or embed content from, other websites and services that I do not control, such as social media platforms. I am not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Some links may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Journal posts and travel tips reflect my personal experience and are for general information only. Details such as prices, opening hours, and travel rules can change, so please check them for yourself.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Luc Bequette will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or its products. My total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.

Privacy

How I handle personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy, including the email you give at checkout, contact form details, cookies and local storage, analytics, and email messages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where Luc Bequette is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
